Keyboard / Mouse ports stopped working on Mac

I believe I have an issue similar to this post: https://community.tesmart.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/45721417650841-The-USB-device-is-no-longer-recognized-on-my-Mac

But this is for the HKS201-E23 (the “Elite” version of the same product line).  I updated to Mac OS Sequoia, and the keyboard and mouse ports stopped working.  The normal peripheral port still works, and on Windows, everything works.  But on my Mac, I can't use the keyboard/mouse ports.  I tried using the firmware utility linked in the other post, but it does not see my KVM.  Is there a fix for my version of the KVM?

  Thank you!  The firmware upgrade process fixed everything for me!

  I would suggest an addendum to the guide though: For whatever reason, I could not get my computer to see the USB CH454 interface with a USB-A to C cable.  At least a normal one, maybe.  Luckily, I had a pair of dead USB-A cables I could tear apart and solder together, and that worked!  :)  So, I'd say USB-A to USB-A is necessary.  I'm not sure why the USB-C cable didn't work--that would definitely have been easier.

As you pointed out, using a USB-A to USB-C cable is indeed possible, provided that the cable supports data transfer. Some cables, such as those intended only for charging, may not work and can lead to connection issues.
