Suggestion for TESmart HDC403-P23
I’d like to share some suggestions that could make the TESmart HDC403-P23 more practical for real-world use.
It may be more user-friendly if:
① All output ports were changed to DisplayPort (DP).
② The input ports were adjusted to 2 DP + 1 HDMI.
③ The USB-C(DP1.2 Alt Mode, MST) port were relocated to the front panel.
1. Output Ports: All DP
- When the outputs are HDMI-only, HDMI to DP conversion is technically difficult due to bandwidth and power requirements, making compatible cables hard to find.
- In contrast, DP to HDMI conversion is simple and widely supported with passive cables.
➡ If the outputs were all DP, the product would offer much greater flexibility in actual usage.
2. Input Ports: 2 DP + 1 HDMI
- In a 3-monitor setup, the environment is typically PC-oriented rather than focused on TVs, game consoles, or mobile devices.
- Currently, all three input ports are HDMI, but most modern GPUs provide only one HDMI port, with the rest being DisplayPort outputs.
➡ Therefore, a 2 DP + 1 HDMI configuration would be much more suitable for real PC environments.
3. USB-C Port: Front Panel Placement
- The product seems mainly intended for desktop setups where laptops are frequently connected and disconnected.
- With the USB-C (DP1.2 Alt Mode, MST, USB 3.2 Gen 1, PD 60W) port located on the rear, accessibility is limited.
- Relocating it to the front panel would significantly improve usability and better align with the product’s intended purpose.
👉 With these improvements, the HDC403-P23 could better meet the needs of PC users and become even more competitive in professional and industrial environments. I’d be glad to hear what others in the community think about these suggestions 🙂

I’d also like to suggest upgrading the DisplayPort version to DP 1.4, which would provide higher bandwidth and better support for modern high-resolution and high-refresh-rate monitors.
