New KVM not working
I just purchased a CKS201-M23-USBK-V1 KVM switch. I plug in my two macbooks to the USBC ports for switching and my mouse, keyboard and monitor. The display switches although I get some flashing and garbled graphics momentarily. The keyboard and mouse are not switching though. They stay stuck to one computer even when I switch away from it. Do I have a bad unit? Using a apple keyboard plugged into USB and a Logitech wireless mouse with receiver plugged in. Trying to figure out if I need to return and replace as this seems like exactly what I want if it worked.

Dear Jon Cossin,
Thank you for your message, and we’re sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing. Please rest assured that we will assist you in resolving them.
To better identify the root cause, could you please help us with the following checks:
Issue 1: Display switches but briefly flashes/garbles
- Could you provide the exact model of your monitor? This will help us review its specifications.
- Could you connect your MacBook directly to the monitor (bypassing the KVM) to check if the flashing/garbled screen still occurs?
- Please try lowering your monitor’s resolution and refresh rate to see if this resolves the issue.
Issue 2: Keyboard and mouse not switching and remain connected to one computer
- Please connect your keyboard and mouse to the dedicated HID USB ports on the KVM and check if they switch correctly. If the issue persists, try connecting them to the USB 3.0 ports on the KVM and test again.
- Could you try using a basic wired keyboard and mouse connected to the HID USB ports? This will help us confirm whether there is a compatibility issue with your Apple keyboard and Logitech wireless mouse. Typically, Apple keyboards use proprietary protocols that may not fully support KVM switching.
We look forward to your reply so we can proceed with further troubleshooting.
Best regards,
