    Hi Deryck,

Thank you for reaching out and providing detailed information regarding the issue with your HKS201-P23-USBK KVM switch. To help identify the cause of the problem, please try the following steps:

    1. Please confirm whether the laptop that is not responding to the keyboard and mouse is running macOS.
If so, we recommend updating the KVM firmware using the link below, which improves compatibility with macOS systems:
      👉 Firmware Update – HKS201-P23
    2. If the laptop is running Windows, please try connecting the USB receiver to the USB 3.0 port on the KVM switch (not the dedicated keyboard/mouse USB ports).
→ This port supports full USB signal passthrough. Let us know if the keyboard and mouse work properly when connected this way.
    3. Also for Windows laptops, please check whether any third-party software that manages keyboard or mouse input is running (such as Logitech Options or other USB control software).
→ Try disabling or uninstalling the software and check if the issue is resolved.
    4. To rule out port-related issues, please swap the HDMI and USB input cables between the two laptops on the KVM.
→ Check whether the issue follows the laptop or remains with the specific KVM port.

Once you've completed these tests, please let us know your results. We’ll be happy to assist you further based on the outcome.

    Best regards,
