USB stopped working on HKS401-EB23
Is there a firmware update to try for HKS401-EB23? My USB stopped working on 1 of 4 ports. Thank you.

Hi Greg,
Regarding the issue you mentioned with a non-working USB port on your HKS401-EB23 device, we recommend trying a firmware update first. You can download the firmware package and follow the upgrade instructions (SOP) at the link below:

Firmware updates may not resolve USB port failures. If the port still does not function after updating, we suggest the following checks to determine if it's a hardware issue:- If the dedicated keyboard/mouse port is not working, try plugging the keyboard and mouse into a USB 2.0 output port for testing.
- If the USB 2.0 output port is not working, it is likely a port hardware failure.
- If the USB input port (connected to your host computer) is not working, try replacing the USB cable or testing with a different computer.
If testing confirms a hardware fault, please contact TESmart customer support for further assistance.
Thank you for your understanding and support. Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.

Thank you for the quick reply, I went through the procedure but stopped as my chip was recognized as CH559 instead of CH545. Is there an alternate firmware file for that chip.

Thank you for the update. If your chip is identified as CH559 instead of CH545, unfortunately, the issue cannot be resolved through a firmware upgrade.Based on the behavior you've described, it is likely that the port has been damaged. We recommend contacting our after-sales support team to arrange for a device replacement.
