Need help choosing the correct KVM.
I’m looking for a suitable KVM solution for my workspace and would appreciate your guidance. Here's my current setup:
- System 1: Dell Desktop PC with 3x mini DisplayPort outputs
- System 2: Dell Laptop connected to a Dell WD19DCS Dual USB-C Dock, which provides 2x DisplayPort and 1x HDMI output
-
Monitors:
- 2x Dell D2721H (HDMI only)
- 1x ViewSonic VX3276-QHD (HDMI or DisplayPort input)
Questions:
- Which TESmart KVM would you recommend that supports switching between these two systems across 3 monitors?
- Can I reliably use miniDP-to-HDMI or DP-to-HDMI cables/adapters with your KVMs?
- Would it be better to use a TESmart KVM USB Dock instead of the Dell WD19DCS dock for integration and compatibility?
I’d appreciate any recommendations or configuration tips you can provide.

Hi James Melvin,
Based on your current system and monitor setup, we recommend the following two KVM solutions for triple-monitor switching:Option 1: HDC203-P24 – Simplified Connections, Ideal for Most Scenarios
Desktop connection: Use 1 miniDP-to-HDMI and 2 miniDP-to-DP cables to connect to the KVM's three video input portsLaptop connection: Connect directly using the included USB-C (Thunderbolt) cable — no docking station required
Features: Supports triple-monitor output via a single USB-C connection; cleaner cabling and cost-effective
Note: Please ensure your laptop supports Thunderbolt 3/4 or USB-C with DP-Alt mode
Option 2: HDK203-M24 – Higher Resolution Support and More Flexible Interfaces
Desktop connection: Same as above — 1 miniDP-to-HDMI and 2 miniDP-to-DP cablesLaptop connection: Use your Dell WD19DCS dock to output 2x DP and 1x HDMI to the KVM
Features: Supports up to 8K@60Hz output; ideal for users with high display quality requirements
Note: Suitable for setups that benefit from retaining an existing docking station and managing multiple video interfaces

Thank you for your response. The P24 does appear to offer a cleaner installation, and I appreciate the clarification.
I wanted to provide some feedback regarding pricing. I noticed that the P24 is listed at $599 on your website, but $569 on your Amazon store. In contrast, the M24 is priced at $699 on your website and only $559 on Amazon. It seems unusual that the more advanced M24 is listed at a lower price than the P24 on Amazon, Not that I am complaining. I thought this might be worth flagging.

Hi James, Thank you very much for your valuable feedback and thoughtful observations!① The prices shown on our website reflect the official pricing, and currently, no additional promotions are applied on-site. However, pricing on Amazon may reflect temporary promotional campaigns in coordination with the platform’s internal marketing activities.
② As for the specific models you mentioned, both the HDC203-P24 and HDK203-M24 are part of Amazon's ongoing promotional campaign. The current price difference for the M24 model (being listed lower than P24 on Amazon) is indeed tied to the platform's internal discounting rules. Once these promotions conclude, prices will return to their respective standard rates. Please rest assured that we strive to maintain price consistency and compliance across all channels while offering the best possible value to our customers.
③ As shared in our earlier message, the key distinction between the two models lies in cable configuration in your setup preferences.
-The HDC203-P24 offers a cleaner and more straightforward installation experience, especially for laptop connection, by using the included USB-C cable—no additional dock required. (That said, we still recommend verifying whether your laptop natively supports triple-display output by connecting it directly to all three monitors via the docking station to confirm compatibility.)
-The HDK203-M24, on the other hand, works excellently with your existing docking station setup, allowing you to connect to 3 external monitors using the provided HDMI/USB and DP cables.
We’re truly grateful for your support and are always here if you need further help or clarification based on your setup.
Best regards,
