    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out! Based on your description, it sounds like the KVM switch itself is working fine for video switching, but when adding speakers, the computer isn’t automatically selecting the correct audio output.

Here’s how you can fix it depending on your setup:

    • If you are using a USB 2.0 HDMI KVM switch, your computer needs to select the audio output named after your monitor.
      • If you have connected two monitors, please prioritize selecting the monitor connected to Output B as the audio output device.
    • If you are using a USB 3.0 or a DisplayPort (DP) KVM switch, your computer needs to select the audio output named “USB Audio”.

You can manually switch the audio device like this:

On Windows, right-click the sound icon > select Sound Settings > under "Output", choose the correct device.

On Mac, go to System Settings > Sound > Output, and choose the correct output device.

Once the correct audio output is selected, your speakers should work properly with whichever PC is active.

Let us know if you need help finding it — we can guide you step-by-step!

I am also having this problem and followed the instructions provided, but it did not resolve my issue. When selecting my monitor, no sound is produced.

    Dear Ooshzay,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    Please make sure that:
    1. Your speakers are connected to the KVM audio OUT port.

    2. Each computer outputs audio via its 3.5mm headphone jack (not HDMI/DP audio).

On macOS: select Internal Speakers / Headphones as the sound output.
On Windows: select Headphones / Realtek Audio as the output device.

    3. The KVM audio source is switched to the same PC currently in use.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

    Best regards,
