HDK402-m24 USB ports fail to reconnect after KVM is on for a length of time.
Hi All,
Just got a HDK402-m24, initially worked great, but theres this one small problem. If the switch is on for a length of time, the USB ports will fail to connect to upon a switch to a different computer, no keyboard, no mouse. The USB ports will even fail to reconnect if the computer it is on, goes to sleep and then you try to press a key or move the mouse.
Most of the time, pushing the power button (KVM on/off) on the front restores connectivity, but I have had to pull the power from the back on occasion.
This is an upgrade from an older HKS0802A1U KVM that worked flawlessly. I just wanted to get higher 4k framerates and a few other features that this newer one had.

Dear bkosick,
Thank you for the detailed feedback. Based on your description, this issue is most likely related to the USB state not fully resetting after long uptime or during PC sleep/wake cycles. In some cases, the USB devices may fail to re-enumerate, which is why rebooting or power-cycling the KVM restores functionality.
Compared to older models, HDK402-M24 uses a more complex USB 3.x architecture to support higher resolutions and refresh rates, which can be more sensitive to sleep and power-management behavior.
We recommend:
1. Disabling USB power-saving options on the connected computers
2. Avoiding system sleep and using screen-off or lock mode insteadWe appreciate your patience and will forward this feedback to our engineering team for further optimization.
Best regards,
